East Renfrewshire Cricket Club is a company with a local service area. Home – East Renfrewshire Cricket Club ERCC We’re always happy to welcome new members, whether they’re beginners or advanced, and we invite anyone interested in cricket to come by for a chat and watch our teams training. Established by local residents in 2013 because there was no cricket club or playing and training facility in a council area with over 95000 residents. East Renfrewshire Cricket Club is a volunteer-led organisation which provides cricket playing opportunities to juniors and adults across the local authority. We understand the benefits that sport can bring both physically and mentally and embarked on a journey to create a new club for the community and build the newest cricket ground and training facility in Scotland consisting of; a new drainage system, an 8 wicket grass square and a fully enclosed quadruple lane outdoor net facility as there was nothing for cricket in the borough. Fast forward 7 years and the committee has organically built a sustainable cricket club on the south side of Glasgow consisting of over 150 members which include 2 senior teams, 5 junior teams with over 150 members, and secured a 31-year lease for the ground. | |
